The 125th Argentine Open Begins

Rain Delays Start

After a week’s delay due to poor weather, The 125th Argentine Open began on Saturday 17 November with two matches. Both were closely fought affairs, with the winners decided in the final chukka on both occasions.
Young guns, La Ensenada defeated Alegría La Irenita 18-14 in the first match of the tournament, with the young La Ensenada team coming back from behind in the first two chukkas to take the win. La Dolfina Polo Ranch began their Argentine Open with a 14-11 win against La Aguada. La Dolfina Polo Ranch led from the off, only losing the lead at the end of the fifth chukka.
On Sunday 18 November, play continued with matches between Las Monjitas and Cría Yatay, and La Albertina Abu Dhabi versus La Cañada. In the first match of the Zone Two teams, La Albertina Abu Dhabi defeated La Cañada 18-10, whilst Las Monjitas secured a resounding 22-9 victory over Cría Yatay due to their significantly improved horsepower.
