C.V. Whitney Cup Final
La Indiana and Las Monjitas to compete for honours
Following the Semi Finals of The C.V. Whitney Cup at the International Polo Club, Palm Beach, Wellington yesterday, La Indiana and Las Monjitas have secured the two coveted Final spots, with the match scheduled to take place at 3pm (local time) on Sunday.
In the first, exciting Semi Final of the day, 2019 finalists Las Monjitas secured a narrow 10-9 win against Patagones, having led from the first chukka. Following on in a similar style, La Indiana defeated Pilot, 12-10, securing their Final spot and also halting Pilot’s undefeated streak, which they’ve held since winning The Gauntlet of Polo competition in 2019 without losing a game. With both teams fielding extremely competitive sides, Sunday’s Final will be a tough-fought match.
