Mon 29th Jun 2020Double Win for Park PlaceSuccess in Prince of Wales & Black Bears Victrix Ludorum
Last week was a fruitful few days for Park Place’s teams! On Wednesday 24 June, The Prince of Wales Final took place at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club between Park Place and Les Lions. Both teams reached the Final unbeaten, with blemish free scoresheets, having both enjoyed two wins each. Les Lions opened the scoring with the first goal, but Park Place soon settled into their rhythm and took an early lead. The boys in blue managed to maintain the pressure throughout the Final and ran out the winners with a final score of 13-9. Kian Hall scored six goals and was justly awarded the Most Valuable Player prize. The Polo Times Best Playing Pony was Lovelocks Illusive, owned by Park Place and played by Gonzalito Pieres. Later in the week, the first Victrix Ludorum Series Final took place with The Black Bears Women’s Tournament Final. The series comprises of seven tournaments played at different clubs across the UK, with eight 18 goal teams competing. The Black Bears Women’s Tournament Final was played on Sunday 28 June between Park Place and Tarantula, with Park Place taking an 8-3½ win.
