Mon 30th Nov 2020Rain Stops Play in Palermo Argentine Open interrupted by weather
After much anticipation, the 127th HSBC Argentine Open began on Field 2 in Palermo on Saturday 28 November, with La Irenita II vs RS Murus Sanctus. However, as heavy rain fell in the second chukka, both teams struggled to continue play and at three minutes and 25 seconds of the third chukka, with RS Murus Sanctus leading 6-0, the decision was made to postpone the remainder of the match. For the three players making their Palermo debut, Santi Loza, Tomasito Fernández Llorente and Pedro Falabella, it was no doubt a disappointing start to the tournament. Similarly, the second match of the day with La Natividad Monjitas vs La Irenita was also postponed, both matches will be played today Monday 30 November. The two matches scheduled to be played yesterday were also postponed and will be played tomorrow, Tuesday 1 December.
