Wed 27th Jan 2021Tamera defeat Beverly Polo 14-10 All Ylvisaker teams record 1 win & 1 loss
Tuesday 26 January saw the fourth day of action in the 2021 Ylvisaker Cup at International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC), with Beverly Polo vs Tamera. Having lost against Palm Beach Equine 10-7 on Thursday 21 January, Tamera had their work cut out against Joe Barry Memorial finalists, Beverly Polo. However, they did not let the opposition daunt them and Tamera dominated for much of the game and quickly erased the two goal handicap deficit and led from the second chukka with Lucas Escobar and Diego Cavanagh spearheading the Tamera attack. Escobar and Cavanagh proved to be a dynamic duo and together scored a total of 11 goals. Beverly Polo’s Hilario Figueras tried to level the scores, with a perfect four for four penalty conversion rate, but at the end of the day Tamera outperformed Beverly Polo on shots at goal with 23 vs 10. Having found their stride, Tamera continued their momentum and by the end of the six chukkas, each teammate had managed to add their name to the scoreboard with a total of 12 field goals taking the final score to 14-10. This result means that each of the four teams have now won and lost a match apiece, meaning there is all to play for ahead of the Final on Sunday 7 February. The tournament action continues on Saturday 30 January with Beverly Polo vs Palm Beach Equine followed by Aspen vs Tamera on Sunday 31 January.
