The last league matches of this year’s Cartier Queen’s Cup were played yesterday and the results mean the Quarter Final teams have now been decided. The first match yesterday saw Monterosso defeat White Crane 10-6 at Coworth Park, with Sabine, played by James Harper named Best Playing Pony. The second match resulted in a 13-9 win for Thai Polo against BP Polo, with Don Ercole Mili, played by Lucas Monteverde Jr, chosen as the Best Playing Pony. This meant that White Crane and UAE II took on Great Oaks Les Lions in a penalty shootout for the last places in the Quarter Finals; UAE II and White Crane converted six and five penalties apiece to secure their spots. The Quarter Finals are being played this weekend with King Power vs Scone (12pm) and Monterosso vs White Crane (3pm) on Saturday 19 June, followed by Murus Sanctus La Magdeleine vs UAE (12pm) and Park Place vs UAE II (3pm) on Sunday 20 June. The Semi Finals are scheduled for next week on Wednesday 23 June, followed by the Finals on Sunday 27 June.
