The Polo Pony Sponsored by Guards Polo Club Class at the Royal Windsor Horse Show was held on day one of the show on Thursday 12 May and was judged by Lord Charles Beresford and Antony Fanshawe. The results of the Class are as follows, with a full report to be included in the June issue of Polo Times: Section A – RoR Thoroughbred (for The Challenge Cup presented by the late General Sir Rodney Moore GCVO, KCB, CBE, DSO) 1st place: Riba Roja, 10-year-old bay mare, owned and ridden by Siri Evjemo-Nysveen 2nd: Lingfield Lass, 9-year-old bay mare, owned and ridden by Georgina Armitage 3rd: Plum Duff, 6-year-old brown mare, owned and ridden by Harold Hodges Section B – Polo Pony sponsored by Guards Polo Club (for The Challenge Cup presented by His Late Highness The Maharaja of Jaipur GCSI, GCIE) 1st place – Maestra, 12-year-old bay mare, owned by Noor Khardra and ridden by Cesar Crespo 2nd – Machitos Yoko, 10-year-old chestnut mare owned by Siri Evjemo-Nysveen and ridden by Jaime Roberts 3rd – Pony Lucky, 8-year-old chestnut mare, owned and ridden by Simon Franc 4th – Guri Araucaria, 10-year-old grey mare owned by Siri Evjemo-Nysveen and ridden by Ignacio Pieres 5th – Pony Piggy, 10-year-old bay mare owned by Simon Franc and ridden by Agustin Merlos 6th – Cometa, 13-year-old bay gelding owned by Clive Reid and ridden by Maryam Sherozia Supreme Champion: Maestra Reserve Champion: Machitos Yoko Best Turned Out (Sponsored by The Millwheel Tack Shop & GG Feeds Ltd): Purito, 5-year-old bay gelding owned and ridden by Jemima Wilson Photograph: Maestra, winner of The Polo Pony Class Section B.
