Black Bears faced Thai Polo NP in The Cotswold Airport Warwickshire Cup Final on Saturday 18 June at Cirencester Park Polo Club. With four teams entered in this year’s tournament, the competition opened at the Semi Final stage, which saw Black Bears secure their place in the Final although with an altered line-up as Ollie Cudmore and Magoo Laprida replaced Lukin Monteverde Jnr. and Poroto Cambiaso on the day of the Final. Thai Polo NP led throughout the Final but lost their momentum in the last chukka and Black Bears were able to claim a 14-13 win in the dying seconds of regulation time thanks to a penalty conversion by Paco O’Dwyer.
