Wed 29th Jun 2022 Coronation Cup Teams Announced On Thursday 30 June, the Hurlingham Polo Association announced the teams for this year’s Coronation Cup at Guards Polo Club on Saturday 23 July. England will compete against Uruguay over six chukkas, returning to Guards Polo Club after a five year absence, Anna Hall, Chief Executive of the Hurlingham Polo Association, commented “The event is intended to be a real spectacle of polo with the Coronation Cup being the jewel in the crown of the day. With well-matched and strong teams being announced today we should be in for a hugely exciting game.” James Harper will Captain the England side, which features international regular, James Beim, Tommy Beresford and Louis Hine, who at 16-years-old is believed to be the youngest player to compete in The Coronation Cup and follows in his father, Andrew’s, footsteps who represented England many teams during his career.  The Coronation Cup Teams: England (24): Louis Hine (4), James Beim (6), James harper (7) & Tommy Beresford (7) Uruguay (23): Ignacio Viana (4), Santiago Stirling (5), Jejo Taranco (8) & Juan Ignacio Curbelo (6)   Photograph: James Beim will be looking to once again lift high The Coronation Cup.
