83rd Tortugas Open Finalists Decided

La Hache La Roca vs La Natividad on Saturday 28 October

ver Friday 20 October and Saturday 21 October the finalists for The 83rd Tortugas Open were decided.
On Friday 20 October there was a fraternal battle between the Ulloas as Hilario Ulloa’s La Hache La Roca went up against Carlos Maria Ulloa’s La Hache Cría & Polo for the first spot in the Final. La Hache La Roca, runners up of The 130th Hurlingham Open, dominated the first three chukkas and secured a seven goal advantage going into the fourth. However an impressive comeback from La Hache Cría & Polo led by their top goal scorer, Joaquín Pittaluga, saw the scores tied at 13-13 in an exciting last chukka. With an extra chukka looming, Fran Elizalde converted a penalty and with it La Hache La Roca took their place in the Final, 15-13.
The following day, Saturday 21 October, saw defending champions La Natividad up against 130th Hurlingham Open winners, La Dolfina Saudi. La Dolfina Saudi began by outscoring their opponents 2-0 in the first chukka but led by Jeta Castagnola, La Natividad took charge from the second chukka and had secured a 7-4 lead by the end of the third chukka. An impressive sixth chukka saw the green shirts outscore La Dolfina Saudi 5-1, leaving the outcome a done deal and although Poroto Cambiaso converted two penatlies in the seventh chukka it was not enough and La Natividad took their place in the Final with a 15-11 win.
These results mean that La Natividad and La Hache La Roca will go head-to-head in The 83rd Tortugas Open Final on Saturday 28 October.
