Wed 5th Feb 2025Polo Times February Issue Out This Week! Covering everything from desert polo to snow polo
As the days get longer and the countdown to the 2025 grass season in the UK gets underway, the February issue of Polo Times will be landing on subscribers’ doorsteps in just a few days. This issue covers the cornucopia of polo that has been played in the last month, with everything from The Bryan Morrison Trophy here in the UK to the epic landscapes of Saudi Arabia and the snowy climes of Aspen. The Club Focus pages are overflowing with results from the UK and around the globe as well as this month’s Club Spotlight on Emsworth Polo Grounds which have been a hive of arena polo action this winter. As well as regular contributors Lorna Edgar and Raise Polo, who explain what horse droppings can tell us about our horses and personal motivation respectively, this issue also sees a new addition to the Knowledge pages with Kat Seeman explaining the importance of sheath cleaning. This is something which has yet to really gain a foothold in polo but as Kat explains it is an important addition to your gelding/stallion’s routine. Youngster Archie Heseltine, who won the Junior match at The International Arena Polo Day at AEPC on Saturday 18 January is this month’s Passions. Sadly, this issue also includes two obituaries, for Rufino Lauhlé and Martin 'Chochan' Garrahan who both passed away on Monday 20 January – a tragic day for the polo world.
