Gauntlet of Polo Begins This Weekend

C.V. Whitney Cup starts Saturday 8 February

The first leg of the 2025 Gauntlet of Polo begins on Saturday 8 February with three matches: Brookshire vs Dutta Corp; Clearwater vs Pilot and La Dolfina Tamera vs Coca Cola. 11 teams will compete for a place in the Final on Sunday 23 February and the $25,000 prizemoney. The C.V. Whitney Cup will be followed by The USPA Gold Cup (24 February – 23 March) and The U.S. Open Polo Championship (24 March – 20 April) and if one team wins all three tournaments they will take the title of Gauntlet of Polo Champion. To date, only one team has achieved this – Pilot in 2019, the first year the Gauntlet of Polo series was run.

This year sees the return of La Dolfina/Catamount with 10 goaler Poroto Cambiaso in the line-up and BTA featuring brand new 10 goalers Tomás Panelo. New teams for this year will be Brookshire and Global Port. 2024 U.S. Open Polo Championship winners, La Dolfina, will return this year under the name of La Dolfina/ Tamera as they join forces with Alejandro Poma.

All of the matches will be livestreamed on the USPA Polo Network here
