Wed 1st Oct 2025Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz Returns 23 to 25 January 2026 New sponsors and top international players
ver 23 – 25 January 2026, The Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz will return to the iconic frozen lake for another world-class tournament. The 41st edition sees two new team sponsors, Investec and Standing Rock, alongside U.S. Polo Assn., making its debut as the tournament’s official apparel partner. Six teams will compete on the frozen lake; Team St. Moritz will unite returning players Robert Strom and Aristide Faggionato with newcomers Sébastien Aguettant and Argentine superstar Nico Pieres, while team Investec will make a strong St. Moritz debut under Brazilian Captain Carlos Alberto Mansur. Standing Rock’s team, guided by Swiss team captain Philipp Müller, presents three world-acclaimed snow polo specialists – Max Charlton, Raul Laplacette Jr. and Nacho Gonzalez – each a multiple-time St. Moritz champion. Last year's finalist, Team Azerbaijan – Land of Fire, will return with its established line-up and remains a leading contender. Spain's Joaquín Castellvi will make his Engadin debut alongside compatriot Pelayo Berazadi and home player Tito Gaudenzi. The polo-passionate Beh family from Malaysia will be competing with siblings Joevy, Garvy and Lovy, continuing the St. Moritz legacy for Mackage, which began in 2017 with their father, James Beh.
The popularity of this event goes from strength to strength with the VIP packages already sold out and a waiting list for the gala evening on Saturday at Badrutt's Palace Hotel – 25,000 guests are expected to attend and experience a polo tournament like no other. New for 2026, a modest admission fee of CHF 20 will apply for access to the public area on Saturday and Sunday. Admission on Friday will remain free, and children and young people under the age of 16 will continue to enjoy free entry on all days.
