CARLOS GRACIDA WAS killed yesterday in a freak polo accident in Florida. He was playing in a 14-goal Freebooters Classic match.
The Mexican, who was based in Wellington, Florida, was aged 53, and played off a handicap of six goals.
Gracida held a 10-goal handicap in the USA from 1985 to 2000 and was inducted into the Polo Hall of Fame in 2012. His brother Memo was also ten-goaler.
