USPA Gold Cup Action Continues

Park Place still in it to win it for £1,000,000 Gauntlet prize money

Fast and furious 22 goal action has continued between some of the best players in the world for The USPA Gold Cup at the International Polo Club, Palm Beach. Nine teams are separated into two leagues battling to ultimately secure the top slots for the Final which is due to be played on Sunday 28 March. As this is the second leg of the Gauntlet of Polo (the third being the U.S. Open) all eyes are on Park Place as they secured victory in the C.V. Witney (and $125,000) and therefore are eligible for the half million dollar bonus if they win all three tournaments. True to recent form they did not disappoint with a 11-6 victory against Cessna on 11 March. La Indiana also look strong, rising to the top of their bracket with a pair of wins so far against Pilot and impressively Scone and the fire power of the Cambiaso father and son duo. Scone did however secure victory against Santa Clara.  oca Cola have had an ‘interesting’ time with their original line-up changed to now include Diego Cavanagh rather than Nico Pieres. Pires has been banned for six months following an alleged incident during the Semi Finals of the CV Witney.
With hopefully less dramatic scenes the USPA Gold Cup continues with the following matches:
Tuesday 16 March: Tonkawa vs Cessna and Aspen/Dutta Corp vs Park Place
Saturday 20 March: Aspen/Dutta Corp vs Cessna and Tonkawa vs Park Place
