What’s On This Weekend in Argentina?

Plenty of polo at top levels

The Argentine season is in full swing with multiple, top level tournaments underway simultaneously meaning there is plenty of action this weekend to keep an eye on.
 
The 130th Argentine Open continues tomorrow, Saturday 18 November, with two matches between La Hache and La Dolfina organisations: La Hache Polo Team vs La Hache Cria & Polo and La Dolfina Saudi vs Cria La Dolfina. You can watch the matches live here
 
The VII Women’s Argentine Open kicked off on Tuesday 14 November with wins for El Overo Z7 UAE and La Dolfina and continues today with two more matches: La Dolfina vs El Overo Z7 UAE and Cuatro Vientos vs Thai Polo. 
 
The Cámara de Diputados Cup began on 7 November, with the Final scheduled for 30 November and the action continues today, Friday 17 November, with the last of the league matches which will determine the Semi Finalists with the winner of each league securing a place in the Final. Today’s matches are: La Fija II vs Las Liebres, La Fija vs Cañuelas (If Cañuelas win, they will reach the Semi Finals but if La Fija win, they must wait for the result of the match between Las Liebres and La Fija II), Yellow Rose vs La Hache and La Cañada vs La Irenita (the winner will qualify to Semi Finals). 
 
The Thai Polo Cup 10th. Anniversary began earlier this week and sees 16 teams up to 14 goals competing for a place in the Final on Friday 24 November. So far there have been wins for Ojo Caliente, Campanulata, Oriflamme, Grupo Menddizabal, Animales Polo, Bensoleimani.com, Power Infrastructure, Bel Polo Team, La Natividad Alra, Power Infrastructure and La Fija. The action continues today with six matches: Ojo Caliente vs Bel Polo, La Fija vs Colorado, Limitless vs Power Infrastructure, La Natividad ALRA vs Animales, Salvador Gaviota vs TNL and Ben Soleimani vs Oriflamme. 
 
Running alongside The Thai Polo Cup is The Pink Polo Cup which has eight teams competing, with wins on the opening day for Dundas, Flying Changes, Amanara and La Quince Pilara. The action continues tomorrow with four more matches: La Quince Pilara vs El Overo Z7 UAE, Buena Vibra vs Amanara, Dundas vs Flying Changes and San Saba vs Wolf Pack Polo.
