The Cartier Queen’s Cup is in full swing, with seven days of competition played so far at Guards Polo Club. On Sunday 26 May, Talandracas retained their undefeated streak with a 13-12 win in an extra chukka against 2023 Queen’s Cup finalists La Magdeleine with Polito Pieres scoring an impressive 11 goals for Talandracas, while White Crane secured their first win of the tournament with an 11-9 score against Ciabo La Pampa. On Bank Holiday Monday 27 May, Alejandro Aznar's Marques de Riscal took their first win in the tournament with a convincing 17-10 win over Vere Harmsworth's Ferne Park, with Ferne Park once again fielding their substitutes Bejamin Panelo and Fran Elizalde in place of the injured Cristian Laprida and Pelon Stirling. The second game of the day initially seemed poised for an upset as Jaisal Singh's Sujan Indian Tigers led 3-0 against the formidable Dubai team in the first chukka. However, Dubai soon equalised and took the lead with Jeta Castagnola's long-distance hit, eventually leading 6-4 by half-time. Despite the Tigers' efforts, particularly Rufino Bensadon's impressive performance, Dubai's cohesive teamwork secured their unbeaten status and their third win in this year's competition, 12-11 The action continues today with Desert Palm vs Shoreline and Gaston vs Green Gates followed by two more matches tomorrow, Cibao La Pampa vs La Magdeleine and UAE vs White Crane.
