Thu 14th Aug 2025 The Terralpa Silver Cup Finals High, medium and low goal Finals this weekend The 54th International Polo Tournament is well underway at Ayala Polo Club with The Terralpa Silver Cup Finals due to be played tomorrow, Friday 16 August, and Saturday 17 August.    Yesterday, Wednesday 13 August, saw Amanara and Black Bears qualify for The Terralpa Silver Cup High Goal Final following their wins over MB Polo and La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal. Nicky Sen’s Amanara faced Prince Mateen’s MB Polo in the opening clash, with Amanara storming ahead to a five goal lead in the first half. MB Polo responded strongly, closing the gap on the scoreboard. In the fourth chukka, Marty Romuáldez stepped in to replace Nicky Sen, and by the decisive sixth chukka, Amanara mounted an impressive resurgence to seal a 14-11 victory, claiming the first spot in the final. Notably, Amanara were runners-up in the High Goal Bronze Cup, the opening leg of the ongoing 54th International Polo Tournament. The second Semi Final saw Black Bears and La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal lock horns in a fiercely contested, low-scoring encounter. The match remained wide open until the dying moments, when Rufino Bensadón struck the winning goal with under two minutes left on the clock, giving Black Bears a narrow 8-7 triumph.   This means that Amanara and Black Bears will face each other in The Terralpa Silver Cup High Goal Final on Saturday 16 August at 6.30pm (local time). Earlier in the day, Calatagan and La Capilla will compete in the Low Goal Final at 5pm (local time).  Meanwhile in the Medium Goal competition, Electric Polo and Brunei, who defeated Muda IZ Polo 15-11, and Santa Quiteria Mondragon 10-7, respectively will go head-to-head in the Final tomorrow, Friday 15 August, at 7pm (local time).    You can watch the matches live here.  Photograph: Barto Castagnola (Amanara) & Lukin Monteverde (MB Polo) in the Semi Finals.
