Following The República Argentina Cup Semi Finals on Thursday 27 March, La Irenita and Las Rosas La Natividad went head-to-head in the Final on Saturday 29 March. A total of 16 teams competed in the tournament, with La Irenita receiving seven goals on handicap in their Semi Final against Estancia Grande.
La Irenita secured a 13-12 victory over Las Rosas La Natividad to win the República Argentina Cup at Palermo. The Final saw La Irenita maintain their lead for five chukkas with a five goal handicap advantage working in their favour.
Las Rosas La Natividad, led by Lukin Monteverde, closed the gap in the final chukka, levelling the score at 12-12. With extra time looming, Custodio Eleno scored the decisive goal with 25 seconds remaining to secure the win, 13-12.
This is La Irenita’s third title in the tournament, having previously won in 2002 and 2022. Matías MacDonough Jr. and Martín Podestá claimed their second República Argentina Cup, while Custodio Eleno and Fermín MacDonough earned their first.
Las Rosas La Natividad finished as runners-up for the second year in a row, following their 2024 defeat in the rescheduled spring Final.
