Sat 29th Nov 2025Thai Polo Cup & Pink Polo Cup Finals Success for La Esperanza & UAE Polo
Friday 28 November saw a busy day of polo at Thai Polo Club, General Rodriguez, with the culmination of The Thai Polo Cup and Pink Polo Cup.
16 teams up to 14 goals took part in this year’s Thai Polo Cup and the Final was a battle between two undefeated teams, La Esperanza and Jehangiri. Following a balanced first chukka, La Esperanza took charge in the second chukka and by the end of the third chukka had a 7-3 lead at half-time. Jehangiri fought back in the fifth and sixth chukkas, but La Esperanza’s early lead secured them the title with an 11-7 win.
Pablo Llorente was chosen as Most Valuable Player; Muhammad Jehangiri received the Fair Play Award; Machitos Louise, played by Pablo Llorente, was the Best Polo Argentino Bred BPP and Señora Legisladora, played by Juan Zubiaurre, was the Best Playing Pony.
Seven teams took part in The Pink Polo Cup and the Final was played between UAE Polo and Jet Set Polo Visas. The balanced Final featured 10 goalers Hope Arellano and Hazel Jackson playing on opposing sides and the score went down to the wire with UAE Polo narrowly securing the win, 7-5.
Micaela Saracco was chosen as the Most Valuable Player; Julia Klyne received the Fair Play Award; LP Picaza, played by Saracco, was the Best Playing Pony and Monjita Bag Lady, played by Arellano, was the Best Polo Argentino Bred BPP.

Jet Set Polo (21): Julia Kline (0), Sofía Rivas (5), Fátima Balzano (6) & Hope Arellano (10)
