Mon 2nd Nov 2026Tortugas Finalists Set La Natividad La Dolfina and La Hache to meet in Tortugas Open Final
La Natividad La Dolfina and La Hache will contest the Final of the 86th Tortugas Open on Saturday 7 November at Tortugas Country Club, Argentina, in a rematch of the recent Hurlingham Open Final.
La Natividad La Dolfina secured their place with a commanding 18-10 victory over Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú on Saturday 31 October. Despite an unexpected change of ground during the match, the defending Triple Crown champions dominated proceedings, establishing a 16-6 lead by the seventh chukka.
La Hache subsequently secured the second Final berth despite losing 16-13 to Las Monjitas on Sunday 1 November. Las Monjitas needed to win by at least five goals to qualify, but La Hache fought back from a five goal deficit to keep their opponents' winning margin to three. Rufino Bensadón was named Most Valuable Player.
Earlier that day, La Irenita narrowly defeated La Aguada 16-15, with Pablo Mac Donough scoring the decisive goal in the closing seconds.
Meanwhile, La Zeta Kazak recorded an important 19-10 victory over Don Ercole, strengthening their position in the rankings as they look to retain their place in the 2027 Triple Crown.
The Final will see La Natividad La Dolfina continue their pursuit of a second consecutive Argentine Triple Crown, while La Hache will be looking to reverse their Hurlingham Open defeat and topple the reigning champions.
