Mon 7th Apr 2025U.S. Open Polo Championship Update Tournament enters final league stages today & tomorrow
The third and final stage of the Gauntlet of Polo, The U.S. Open Polo Championship, enters its last league stages this week before the Quarter Finals at the weekend.
Back-to-back matches were played on Thursday 3 April at the National Polo Center in Wellington, Florida with an 11-9 win for Dutta Corp over Pilot (the only team to win all three tournaments and be crowned champions of the series in 2019) and Park Place claimed an impressive 10-4 win against Clearwater. The single match on Saturday 5 April was won by La Dolfina/Catamount with a close score of 11-10 against BTA in an extra chukka. Coca-Cola and La Dolfina/Tamera took wins on Sunday 6 April against Pilot and Clearwater respectively.
Today will see La Fe Eastern Hay vs The Setai (12pm local time) and Brookshire vs The Dutta Corp (5.30pm local time) and the last league match will be played tomorrow with Globalport vs Park Place (12pm local time), who are so far undefeated.
The tournament will then move into the Quarter Finals on 12 – 13 April, followed by the Semi Finals on 16 April and the Final on Sunday 20 April.
