On Tuesday 9 June, guests gathered at Cowdray house for the draw of The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup which sees St. Regis as title sponsor for this year. A competitive 19 teams have entered the tournament, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, and have been drawn into one league of five teams and two crossover sections; League A will compete within its own group, while Groups B and C, and Groups D and E, will play crossover fixtures. To maximise balance and competition, five seeded teams were selected based on their recent Cartier Queen’s Cup performance, specifically those teams that had secured three or more wins.
The St. Regis British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup will begin on Tuesday 23 June with the Final scheduled for Sunday 19 July. The Final is always a sell-out event and this year will also see the British Ladies Open Final played in the morning, so don’t miss out on your tickets here.

Group E: Balanz Capital La Hechicera, Kazak, Sujan Indian Tigers
